A tragic shooting at a Coast Guard facility resulted in two dead and a search for the killer(s). The FBI is on island and rumors are burning like wildfire. Several reliable reports said someone was stopped at the airport Thursday afternoon, although no official report has stated that information. Coincidentally (?) that is when the lock downs and lock ins at the schools ended. Here are the official reports so far.
It's very somber and anxious everywhere, as you could imagine. I guess all we can do is send thoughts and prayers to all the families, friends and anyone else who has been affected by this horrific event in our small, close and remote community.
